Our Journey

Ramesh Steel Industries, a partnership firm, was established by the group’s visionary founder late Shri Ganpatrai Agarwal in 1994. Very soon, the Group emerged as one of the fastest growing steel maker of its time. Since inception, we were focussed on the importance of quality and honouring customer commitments, but more importantly, we created a foundation that helped the group to become an integrated steel player.

In 2004, GR Sponge Iron & Power Ltd was establsihed which ultimately became the groups’ flagship company. Today, it not only produces 60000 MT of Sponge Iron, but also generates 70,000 MWH of electricity.

This was followed by acquisition and successful turnaround of other group companies which made GR Group a diversified and an integrated steel manufacturer in India. GR Group has emerged as a profitable, sustainable and scalable entity which believes in integrity and is driven by its core values.
