Our Journey

Ramesh Steel Industries, a partnership firm, was established in 1994 by the Group’s visionary founder, Late Shri Ganpatrai Agrawal. Within a short span of time, the Group emerged as one of the fastest-growing steel manufacturers of its era. Since inception, we have remained committed to quality, customer satisfaction, and honoring our commitments. More importantly, we laid a strong foundation that enabled the Group to evolve into an integrated steel enterprise.

In 2004, G.R.Sponge and Power Limited was established, which subsequently became the Group’s flagship company. Today, the company not only produces 60,000 MTPA of Sponge Iron annually but also generates 8 MW/H of electricity and 12,000 MTPA of Silico Manganese, reflecting the Group’s focus on integration and self-reliance.

This was followed by the acquisition and successful turnaround of several other group companies, transforming the GR Group into a diversified and integrated steel manufacturer in India. Over the years, the Group has emerged as a profitable, sustainable, and scalable enterprise, built on integrity and driven by its core values.
